The Arkansas High-Impact Tutoring Grant Program provides funding to eligible public school districts and open-enrollment charter schools to implement structured, evidence-based tutoring programs during the school day.

Through this initiative, schools can provide targeted academic intervention to students who need additional support in reading, English language arts, and mathematics.

A Right to Read Initiative offers specialized literacy instruction designed to strengthen foundational reading skills, decoding, spelling, and reading fluency.

High-impact tutoring programs generally emphasize:

• Small-group instruction with four or fewer students
• Frequent, consistent tutoring sessions
• Instruction aligned with students' identified academic needs
• Ongoing progress monitoring to measure student growth

For the 2026–2027 school year, Arkansas's grant program provides 70% of eligible program costs, with participating districts responsible for a 30% match.

A Right to Read Initiative is an approved provider for the Arkansas Literacy Tutoring Grant Program, which helps eligible Arkansas students in kindergarten through third grade (K–3) access supplemental literacy instruction.

The program provided up to $1,500 per eligible student for the 2025–2026 school year. Funding amounts and eligibility requirements for the 2026–2027 school year are subject to updated guidance from the Arkansas Department of Education.

The Arkansas Education Freedom Account Program helps eligible families access educational opportunities that meet their children's individual learning needs.

Through the EFA program, participating families may use available account funds toward approved educational expenses, including literacy tutoring and other qualifying educational services.

For Eligible Texas Families | $400 in Literacy Tutoring Assistance

The Texas Education Agency's Parent Access to Supplemental Supports (PASS) Program provides $400 in tutoring assistance to eligible families whose children need additional reading support.

For the initial 2026–2027 program, eligibility is based on students enrolled in Texas public schools who received a Did Not Meet Grade Level score on the third-grade STAAR Reading Language Arts assessment.

Families who qualify can use their PASS accounts to purchase literacy tutoring services from TEA-approved providers.
